Looking for cool tech gadgets? No matter who you are, it’s pretty much impossible to say that technology hasn’t affected your life in some way, shape, or form.
Whether it’s the smartphone in your pocket, the screen on which you’re reading this, or even smart devices in your home that control things like your lights and thermostat, technology is all around us, and we all use an array of gadgets to get us through daily life.
There’s never been a better time to be a gadget enthusiast, either.
With tons of fascinating devices out there to help you do anything from planning meals to communicating with friends and lots more in between, you’ve got lots of choices when it comes to assembling your very own gadget arsenal.
Without further ado, then, let’s take a look at 40 cool tech gadgets that we recommend you pick up in 2024!
1. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Top Android phone with superior camera quality
The debate over whether Android or iOS is better will rage on for eternity, it seems, but if you’re an Android aficionado, then the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra represents the best smartphone you can buy right now.
It’s got incredible camera quality, a gorgeous display, and lightning-fast performance, and it comes in a range of exciting colours so you can buy whichever one speaks most to your personality.
Make no mistake; this phone is going to set you back a fair way money-wise, so you might have to dig deep into your bank account to pick one up. That amount will increase based on what storage capacity you want, too.
However, if you’re looking for the best Android phone out there and you don’t mind spending a little extra to get it, then there’s pretty much no competition; it’s the Galaxy S23 Ultra you want.
2. iStorage diskAshur DT2 8TB Secure Storage Drive
Highly secure, encrypted data storage solution
Keeping your files safe is no joke. If you’ve got sensitive information that you regularly need to transport around with you, then you definitely need to pick up one of these handy little drives from iStorage.
The encryption on this drive is seriously heavy; iStorage bills it as “the world’s first and only FIPS 140-2 Level 2/3, NCSC CPA, NLNCSA BSPA and NATO restricted” desktop drive. As we said, heavy-duty protection.
In practical terms, what that means is that if someone else happens to get their hands on this drive, unless they know the password you’ve placed on the system, they’re extremely unlikely to be able to get into it and access your data. That makes this a cool gadget to consider.
The price tag might be hefty, and there are lower capacity models to also consider, but this is the last word in encrypted data storage, and if you never want to run out of storage capacity, we’d recommend plumping for the 8TB model.
3. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max
Best iOS phone, exceptional for gaming
The other side of the Android-versus-iOS coin is, of course, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max, which represents the best iOS phone you can get your hands on.
Apple may not quite have worked out how to incorporate the front-facing camera into the display in quite as organic a way as Samsung, but the decision to transform that frontal camera into the information-providing Dynamic Island was a stroke of genius.
Elsewhere, you’re getting exactly the kind of device you’d expect from Apple; whip-smart, incredibly speedy, and capable of taking beautiful photos in pretty much any type of light.
Perhaps the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s biggest advantage over its Samsung rival is its power when it comes to gaming; this phone can easily rival some of the most popular gaming devices out there right now for power and convenience.
4. Elgato Stream Deck Mk. 2
A versatile tool for streamers and gamers
While the Stream Deck might be named for (and, indeed, aimed at) streamers, it has functionality that goes far above and beyond just streaming or creating content, so it’s a great purchase for pretty much any gamer.
The Stream Deck is a little device that houses a number of buttons, each of which can control a function on your PC. This could be an app, for instance, or it could be a keyboard shortcut you’ve programmed into the Deck.
Naturally, you’ll find plenty of uses for this handy little device while you’re streaming; it can control mic volume, open a set of apps, and play sounds during streams, for instance, leaving you freer to concentrate on your game.
However, you can also program it to open non-streaming-related apps, control your PC’s overall volume, and do pretty much anything else that would traditionally be handled by a keyboard shortcut.
5. Logitech Yeti Microphone
Ideal beginner’s microphone for streaming
You might know this microphone better as the Blue Yeti, and it’s the perfect microphone to help you get started in the world of streaming or content creation.
Some slightly snooty audio fans have started a pushback against the Yeti, claiming that it’s not actually the catch-all solution many think it is and recommending alternatives instead.
Don’t listen to those people; the Yeti is an excellent beginner podcasting or streaming mic, especially if you don’t plan to go above and beyond these mediums and start creating music or recording your voice for more serious projects.
What’s more, the price tag attached to the Yeti is very agreeable indeed, so you won’t feel like you’re being ripped off when you pick it up, which is more than you can say for many professional audio alternatives.
6. Apple Watch Series 9
Sleek smartwatch, best for Apple users
When you think about gadgets, the first thing that pops into your mind is probably a smartwatch, right? It’s been the go-to gadget of choice for fictional spies and super-agents for many years now.
Thankfully, smartwatches are now a reality, so you don’t need to be in the employ of MI6 to use one. The Apple Watch Series 9 is the best of the bunch if you’re an iOS aficionado already, but you needn’t apply if you don’t use other Apple devices.
This is a seriously sleek and beautiful smartwatch, and its new Double Tap function makes it an ideal watch if you need to use it hands-free. It’s great for taking photos!
The battery life leaves a little bit to be desired, but the Apple Watch Series 9 is the best smartwatch for anyone who’s already on board the Apple train.
7. Samsung Galaxy Watch 6
Feature-rich fitness-focused Android smartwatch
We know it can sometimes seem a little bit like a battle between Samsung and Apple when it comes to smart tech, but honestly, that’s the reality. Samsung really does make the most powerful Android devices out there.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch is, much like the Apple Watch, much better for those who already use Samsung devices, but it is possible to use this watch with other Android devices if you want to.
If you’re a fitness lover, the Galaxy Watch 6 is the device for you. It’s got body fat and muscle trackers, as well as heart rate detection, sleep tracking, and much more.
Of course, it can also control your music, help you to take photos with your phone’s camera, and more. It’s built around the Samsung ecosystem, but this is an excellent all-rounder smartwatch for anyone.
8. Sony WF-1000XM5 Earbuds
Top-tier audio quality with noise cancellation
When it comes to in-ear headphones, there aren’t any better options out there than the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds, which marry excellent sound quality to premium functionality.
These earbuds don’t come cheap, but for the price, you’re getting incredible audio (albeit without aptX support, but thanks to Sony’s LDAC codec, you won’t miss it) and unparalleled convenience.
While previous generations of Sony headphones have lagged behind rivals like Bose for noise cancelling, these earbuds have seen a lot of improvements on that front as well, so if quiet in a train carriage is important to you, the WF-1000XM5s won’t let you down.
Unless you’re a dedicated audiophile (in which case you probably don’t use wireless earbuds), the WF-1000XM5s represent the best possible headphones you can buy in 2023.
9. Nomad Base Wireless Charging Station
Stylish and efficient wireless charger
Let’s face it: wireless charging still feels like technology of the future, doesn’t it? The Nomad Base reinforces that feeling thanks to its sleek, minimalistic design and powerful functionality.
All you need to do is place your phone on the pad and it’ll start charging, which still blows our minds every time we drop our devices and watch the battery start to come back.
The Nomad Base is capable of charging Android phones at up to 15W, and it’ll charge iPhone devices at 7.5W. It’s also compatible with MagSafe, so your phone shouldn’t slip and slide around if it has this tech built in.
You will need a 20W USB-C power adapter if you want to use it, but you should be able to find one of those at a fairly low price, so grab one of these if you want to feel like you’re living in the future.
10. Ultraloq U-Bolt Pro Smart Lock
Multi-entry options, smart home integration
Good smart tech often doesn’t come cheap, and that’s certainly the case for the Ultraloq U-Bolt Pro, but it’s hard to put a price on peace of mind, as a salesperson might say.
This smart deadbolt contains a number of options for entering your home, including biometrics, a Bluetooth proximity sensor that detects when your phone is nearby, or a good old-fashioned numerical code.
You’re also able to add other members of the household to grant them quick access if you want, meaning nobody’s going to be stuck outside if you don’t want them to be.
Naturally, since this is a smart lock, there’s also a connected app that allows you to see and control who’s gaining access to your home at any given time.
11. Amazon Echo Smart Speaker
Versatile smart speaker with wide compatibility
Much like smartwatches, smart speakers can often feel like technology of the future, but the fact is that they’re here and they’re surprisingly affordable for the vast majority of people.
While Amazon’s Echo might not be the best speaker in the world in terms of pure sound quality, it’s able to punch well above its weight class, and it supports a number of streaming services too, so you don’t need to be an Amazon Prime subscriber.
The Echo can do pretty much everything you’d expect a smart speaker to do; it can set timers and reminders, control your home’s smart devices, and even tell you a joke if you want it to. There are many things you can do with Alexa, using your voice.
Once you’ve picked up the Echo, you’ll wonder how you ever lived your life without it, and it’s a beautiful little device as well, so it’ll slot neatly into any home’s aesthetic.
12. Anker Prime Power Bank
High-capacity, portable power solution
There’s nothing more frustrating than your devices suddenly dying on you while you’re out and about. With the Anker Prime power bank, however, this worry becomes a thing of the past.
This incredibly powerful charger boasts not only a massive 20,000mAh capacity, but also a 200W output, which means you can easily charge laptops, tablets, and other high-powered devices with it.
The nifty little display shows you how much battery you’ve got left and how much the bank is currently drawing in terms of power, and it updates in real-time, too, so you’ll always be well-informed about your power bank’s usage.
Despite all of this functionality, the Anker Prime power bank is also pretty compact, so it’ll slot easily into a backpack without taking up too much space at all.
13. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
Premium noise cancellation and comfort
Just like with the WF-1000XM5 earbuds, Bose’s QuietComfort Ultra Headphones aren’t going to come cheap. These are premium-quality headphones that carry an equivalent price tag.
However, they’re not called QuietComfort for nothing; the noise cancellation on these headphones is world-class, and it’ll help shut out the outside world with incredible efficiency.
The sound quality on offer here is excellent, too. These headphones will handily enhance any music or speech content you decide to throw at them, and the noise cancellation means you’ll barely be able to hear anything else.
Naturally, the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are a very comfortable listen, too; you likely won’t need to adjust them too much once they’re on your ears, and they’re suitable for lengthy listening sessions as well.
Battery life is excellent, with up to 24 hours’ worth of listening time available and a quick recharge time when the headphones do run out of juice.
14. JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth Speaker
Powerful, portable, and waterproof speaker
If you’ve never experienced the pleasures of an ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker, then let this offering from JBL be the device to inaugurate you into the world of mobile music.
This speaker has a pretty impressive maximum volume; it could probably serve as the driver for a crowded party, and while the sound quality isn’t going to rival dedicated surround setups, it’s rock-solid.
You can also look forward to around half a day of playtime before you need to charge the speaker, making it ideal for get-togethers of any size or shape.
What’s more, this speaker is waterproof, so even if it does rain, your Flip 6 won’t get damaged (which doesn’t mean you should just leave it out to get soaked, of course). The IP67 rating also covers dust, so if you don’t use your speaker for a while, it should still be good to go when you dust it off.
15. Philips Hue Smart Lightbulb
Customizable lighting control for smart homes
Once you’ve seen what smart lighting can do, you won’t want to go back to regular lighting. Installing these lights in your home will give you total control over the ambience in whatever room you’ve installed them in.
You can change the colour and intensity of the light on the fly, either using your smartphone or via a connected device like a smart speaker.
Nothing quite says “futuristic gadget” more than asking a speaker to change the light level or shade in a room, and once you’ve done it, you’ll truly feel like you’ve arrived in the world of tomorrow.
Various different light fixtures are available in the Hue range depending on what fitting you need, too, so make sure you browse before you buy to avoid any potential disappointment.
16. Nintendo Switch OLED Model
Best handheld gaming console with OLED screen
If you only buy one handheld gaming console, make it this one (although you’ll have trouble finding others, since Nintendo has so effectively cornered this particular market).
The Switch may be nearing the end of its life, but that means that if you haven’t bought a Switch yet, you’ve got an entire library full of excellent games just waiting for you to discover them.
Whether you love the open-world exploration of games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom or you’re more into cosy games like Stardew Valley or Disney Dreamlight Valley, the Switch has you covered.
We’d definitely recommend opting for the OLED model over the standard one, because the OLED screen makes the Switch pop and truly gives it a new lease of life.
17. Backbone One Mobile Gaming Controller
Universal controller for smartphone gaming
Do you find yourself playing a lot of games on your phone? If so, then you’ll want to consider picking up the Backbone One, which is a universal smartphone controller that works with both Android and iOS phones.
The controller features the standard Xbox button layout, which is recognised by many games on smartphones, but you can also pick up the PlayStation layout version if you prefer.
It’s an ergonomic and satisfying controller to use, and it comes complete with a mechanism that snaps your phone into place so that you don’t need to worry about losing it while you’re playing.
If you happen to own an earlier iPhone model, then there’s also a Lightning version available. Just make sure that you pick the right controller based on which connector your phone uses, or you might be out of luck!
18. Microsoft Xbox Series X Gaming Console
Powerful gaming console with extensive library
While the Switch is an excellent portable console for indie games, Nintendo first-party titles, and less demanding fare, if you play a lot of games, you’re going to need something that can kick out some serious power.
That’s where the Xbox Series X comes in. We’d recommend picking up this beefier model over the Xbox Series S; while the latter is cheaper, it’s also less powerful, and you don’t want to run into technical limitations when you’re trying to game.
The Xbox Series X is a pretty unassuming beast from the outside, with its giant black monolithic design. Hook it up, though, and you’ll find a massively powerful console with a huge library to choose from.
The existence of Xbox Game Pass alone makes this console a worthy purchase; for a fairly small subscription fee, you get access to over a hundred games, and the lineup is constantly changing and being updated as well.
19. Oral-B Smart Series Electric Toothbrush
Smart toothbrush with real-time feedback
On the surface, a smart toothbrush might sound like the kind of thing that you joke about when you’re discussing devices that don’t really need any kind of smart component.
However, just a few sessions with the Oral-B Smart Series toothbrush will convince you that this isn’t the case. You’ll improve your brushing habits, and you may well improve your overall dental hygiene as well.
Not only are these powerful electric toothbrushes, but they also connect to the Oral-B app, which can tell you how long you should be brushing for and even provide real-time feedback on your technique.
The toothbrush itself can also warn you when you’re brushing too hard, allowing you to keep your gums healthy and preventing you from damaging your mouth while you brush. You’ll never doubt the power of a smart toothbrush again!
20. Google Chromecast
Stream content easily to your TV
Your TV isn’t quite complete without a Chromecast. Even if you’ve got a smart TV that has lots of media apps for you to choose from, a Chromecast can be a hugely beneficial extra to add to your collection.
Using your Chromecast, you can stream content directly to your TV and control it from your phone. Apps like Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV, and Spotify are supported, as, of course, are Google’s proprietary media apps like YouTube.
You can also stream your Google Chrome browser window to your TV using a Chromecast, so if there’s an alternative media source you can access through your mobile browser, you can display that loud and proud on your TV.
If you’ve got a smart home setup, then there’s a good chance Google Chromecast can help you to control that as well, so you can change the parameters of your smart devices without getting up off the sofa.
21. Amazon Echo Show 8 Smart Display
Smart display with voice and touch control
If you’d rather have a visual interface handy when it comes to controlling your smart home devices, then the Echo Show 8 is definitely something you’re going to want to invest in.
It comes complete with a crisp touchscreen that allows you to cycle through connected devices, see what media you’re playing, and set timers, plus pretty much everything else standard smart home hubs can do.
If you do still want to use your voice, don’t worry; the Echo Show 8 still supports voice commands alongside its touch interface, so you can choose whichever method you like for lining up commands.
You can even set up video calls using this device if you want, and the front-facing camera packs in some pretty decent quality too, so you’re not going to be dealing with potato-quality calls in the year of our lord 2023.
22. Roomba Combo j9+ Robot Vacuum
Robot vacuum with mop function
Have you ever seen a video in which a little Roomba robot vacuum is treated like a beloved family pet? Once you get one for yourself, we guarantee you’ll be doing the same in mere minutes.
These little creations are as adorable as they are useful, and that’s saying something. All you need to do is set the Roomba up to roam your room, and it’ll catch any dust it finds, saving you the job of vacuuming your house or flat.
The j9+ model also features a built-in mop function, which allows the Roomba not only to vacuum rooms but also to clean up hard floors, which is a godsend, especially if you don’t feel like tackling your chores today.
This is not a cheap gadget; it’ll set you back around £1000 at time of writing, but if you’ve got money to burn, then it’s worth every penny for the time you’ll save dragging a vacuum around.
23. Sony PlayStation 5 Gaming Console
Console with exclusive games and revamped PlayStation Plus
You didn’t think we’d write a list that features the Xbox and not the PlayStation, did you? That’s right – we’re not coming down on either side of the console war here.
The PlayStation 5 has much to recommend it, even if it does lack the Xbox Series consoles’ game-changing (no pun intended) Game Pass subscriptions.
For one thing, the PS5 has an excellent lineup of exclusives that the Xbox Series machines struggle to match; games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West prove irresistible when it comes to buying a current-gen console.
The PS5 may not have Game Pass, but it does have PlayStation Plus, which, after a much-needed overhaul in 2022, now features a massive catalogue of games to enjoy, especially if you sign up to its Premium tier.
24. Furbo 360 Cat Camera
Monitor pets with treat-tossing feature
Leaving your pets at home, especially when you have to go out to work or somewhere else that will take you away from home for a long time, can be a heartbreaking and anxiety-inducing experience.
The Furbo 360 Cat Camera (there’s also a dog version if you’re a canine fan!) will help to alleviate that fear greatly. It gives you the chance to spy on your little companion while you’re not around.
You can see what they’re up to across a 360-degree radius, and the camera will automatically detect where your pet is and track them so that you don’t miss anything naughty or fun they’re doing.
What’s more, this camera also contains a treat-tossing feature that lets you give your little furry friend a treat to keep them going. It’ll feel like you’re really there with them!
25. DJI Mini 4 Pro Drone
High-quality camera drone with obstacle sensing
Everyone has that moment where they’re looking at a drone soaring through the skies and wishing they had one of their own. Well, thanks to DJI, you can make that dream a reality.
Like many of the best gadgets out there, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is not a cheap drone. It’ll set you back several hundred pounds, but you’re getting something with some serious quality behind it for that price.
The drone features a camera that can shoot in 4K at 60fps, and with HDR to boot, so you’ll capture the landscapes over which your drone is soaring in vivid detail.
Your drone will also sense obstacles around it in several directions, allowing you to keep it away from harm, and you can pick up a range of accessories for it that will augment its capabilities even further.
26. HidrateSpark PRO Smart Water Bottle
Tracks and reminds for hydration
“A smart water bottle?” you cry. “But how can that possibly work?” You may be incredulous, but trust us when we say that the HidrateSpark PRO is an excellent addition to your workout routine (or even just your daily hydration). This, however, is one cool gadget.
The bottle features a sensor that tells you when you need to hydrate, helping to prevent dehydration and ensuring that you reach your recommended daily intake of water.
There’s also a connected app (because there always is!) that tracks your water intake over the course of the day, informing you how much water you’ve consumed and how much you still need to take in.
You can buy the HidrateSpark PRO in a number of different sizes, ranging from a 20oz tumbler to a 32oz bottle, so make sure you pick up the bottle you need depending on your lifestyle!
27. Anycubic Kobra 2 3D Printer
Accessible, fast 3D printer for beginners
There was a time when 3D printers seemed like the exclusive domain of those who were serious about the technology, but now, prices have come down to the point where entry-level 3D printer enthusiasts have plenty of choice.
If you’ve never picked up a 3D printer before, then the Anycubic Kobra 2 is an excellent place to start. It’s easy to put together, so you won’t get caught up looking for tiny parts that have become lost in the carpet.
You’re also getting a speedy printer with a 300mm-per-second maximum print speed, although Anycubic recommends that you stick to 200mm per second as your general print speed for most objects.
As an entry point into the miracle that is 3D printing, you could definitely do a heck of a lot worse than the Anycubic Kobra 2, and it won’t break the bank either, making it ideal if you’re curious about the tech.
28. Valve Steam Deck OLED Handheld Gaming Console
Handheld gaming PC with OLED upgrade
When we said the Switch had managed to kill off pretty much all other handheld competition, we were, of course, excluding the rather excellent Steam Deck from that list.
Valve’s handheld gaming PC is a marvel of technology and engineering, cramming a reasonably powerful machine into a small form factor and making it ergonomic to hold and play as well.
Many Steam games are already “Verified” for the Steam Deck, meaning you can play them without any additional setup, and still more can be enjoyed with just a little extra tweaking.
The new OLED model also improves the Steam Deck’s screen quality, which was already excellent. If you don’t own a Steam Deck yet, we’d definitely recommend opting for the OLED model for that extra wow factor.
29. Tile Mate Lost Item Tracker
Locate items easily with Bluetooth tracker
How many times have you lost or misplaced something, then spent a frantic hour or two looking for the thing you lost and wishing you could just find it with the press of a button?
Tile’s Mate device will allow you to do exactly that. All you need to do is attach the Tile to a keyring, a carabiner, or something similar, and download the companion Tile app.
Using that app, you can then take advantage of the Tile Mate’s 250-foot Bluetooth range to find whatever it is you’ve lost. If you often lose items within your house, then the Tile Mate is an absolute godsend.
If the Tile Mate proves to have too short a range, then you can also look into the Tile Pro, which boasts a 400-foot maximum distance and a replaceable battery that lasts for up to a year.
30. GoPro Hero12 Black Camera
Adventure-ready camera with HDR video
There’s so much you can do with a GoPro that if you’re a filmmaker, we’d strongly recommend picking one up. GoPro’s cameras are designed for adventurous creatives, and the Hero12 is no different.
This camera comes with HDR video capabilities, support for Bluetooth audio devices to help you record sound, and waterproofing up to 33 feet, making it ideal for shooting that footage you need, no matter where you are.
All of this comes wrapped in what GoPro calls its “legendary” rugged design, so you can throw your camera around and subject it to the whims of the elements (to a certain point, of course) and it won’t bat an eyelid.
You’ll need a microSD card if you want to use this camera, but GoPro doesn’t supply one, so it’s best to see if you can find a bundle that also includes a card (although they can be purchased from pretty much anywhere for almost nothing at all).
31. Meta Quest 3 VR Headset
Advanced VR gaming with extensive library
You might have a slightly unpleasant taste in your mouth when it comes to Meta and its products, and if you do, then you can consider this a blanket recommendation for VR headsets in general.
If, however, you’re looking for the best possible value proposition when it comes to VR gaming and you can stomach Meta’s rather distasteful ethics, then the Meta Quest 3 is an excellent choice.
It’s got a huge library of VR games thanks to its backwards compatibility with the Meta Quest 2, and it also has a slate of titles coming out that will take advantage of its improved processing power and resolution.
What’s more, as usual, you can hook it up to your PC and use your GPU to enjoy games on platforms like Steam, too, meaning you can use this headset to enjoy the excellent Half-Life: Alyx and other games like it.
32. Apple iPad Air
Sleek, powerful tablet with Retina display
The iPad Pro is just a little too overpowered for most consumers, and the basic iPad, while excellent, doesn’t have the elegant construction of the iPad Air. Thus, there’s only one clear winner when it comes to the best tablet of 2023.
The iPad Air is a beautiful device that’s incredibly thin and sleek, meaning it doesn’t weigh anywhere near what you might expect it to. It’s comfortable to hold for long periods of time, too.
You’re getting a gorgeous screen with a 2360×1640 resolution, and while that might not sound like much on an 11-inch screen, trust us when we say that the Retina display more than punches above its weight class.
Whether you’re gaming, completing productivity tasks, or just idly browsing the web, the iPad Air is the perfect tablet on which to do it, and its powerful M1 chip makes it cut through most apps like butter.
33. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
Large-screen Android tablet with high performance
We know, we know. Another face-off between Apple and Samsung. That’s just the way it is, though, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is an excellent Android tablet with a beautiful screen and a serious heft to it.
This is a tablet for those who want much more screen real-estate than even Apple’s iPad Pro can offer. The massive 14.6-inch screen dwarfs even some laptops, making it perfect for those who need to see everything.
Of course, the performance of this tablet more than matches its screen real estate, so whether you’re playing games or typing up your latest meeting’s minutes, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will be able to keep up with ease.
Like many tablets – and, indeed, like many of Samsung’s products – this isn’t going to come cheap, but you’re paying for quality, and this tablet should last you for many years to come.
34. Sage Barista Touch Smart Coffee Maker
Barista-quality coffee maker with presets
If you drink a lot of coffee, then it stands to reason that you should treat yourself to the best coffee maker out there, right? That’s why we think you should pick up the Sage Barista Touch.
As the name suggests, this coffee maker offers “barista quality performance”, according to Sage, as well as automatic milk texturing and a menu full of pre-programmed coffee presets.
The built-in touchscreen allows you to select the coffee you want with ease, and with 30 grind settings available, you can grind your beans however you like as well.
Perhaps the only drawback to this machine is that it’s extremely costly, but again, if you care about your coffee (and who doesn’t?), then you’ll want the best around.
35. Amazon Kindle Paperwhite E-reader
Convenient e-reader with e-ink screen
Many traditional book-lovers will vehemently disagree with this statement, but for others, paper books are a thing of the past, especially when there are devices that can store entire libraries in a compact package.
While the Kindle might not be the best e-reader you can get pound-for-pound, it is the easiest and most convenient device for this purpose, and it’s beautiful to look at as well.
The Paperwhite combines a convincing e-ink screen with a robust construction, so if you drop it, you won’t need to worry about it breaking (as long as you don’t keep dropping it, of course).
Amazon’s file type support remains somewhat patchy, but there are ways around that, and the Kindle Store is still one of the biggest and most rich book stores out there, so you’re bound to find what you’re looking for.
36. Peak Design Tech Pouch Carrying Case
Ingenious design for carrying tech accessories
With all of these new gadgets in your life, you’re going to want to find a way to carry them, right? Enter the Peak Design Tech Pouch, which features more pockets than you will ever know what to do with.
The design of this pouch is, frankly, ingenious; it has tons of little nooks and crannies where you can store all sorts of things, like cables, phones, earbuds, and whatever else you need to carry.
Since the pockets are clearly delineated, you can allocate pockets to different kinds of items, meaning you’ll never wonder where you put that charging cable or that power supply again.
It’s not a large pouch, either, so it’ll fit neatly into a bag or carrying case. Just make sure you pack it as thoroughly as you can before you set off to your destination!
37. NutriBullet Smart Touch Blender
Versatile blender with multiple modes
There’s pretty much no better blender out there for making anything blended – whether it be soups, smoothies, or anything else – than the NutriBullet Smart Touch Blender.
This is an attractive, stylish blender that will blend (no pun intended) seamlessly into any kitchen thanks to its understated design, and it’s powerful, too, boasting 1500W of juice (again, no pun intended).
It comes complete with four different modes: puree, soup, frozen drink, and smoothie, and the blender will adjust its process accordingly depending on which one you select.
If you want to improve your nutritional health and you want to start making more of your own food and drink, then the NutriBullet Smart Touch Blender is an essential gadget to own in 2023, and it shouldn’t break the bank either.
38. OnePlus Open Foldable Smartphone
High-spec folding phone with competitive pricing
Once upon a time, OnePlus was considered the brand of choice for those who wanted high-level specs without paying the kind of prices associated with brands like Samsung.
Nowadays, though, OnePlus has arguably entered the same echelons it once claimed to disrupt, especially when we consider the OnePlus Open, which is potentially the best folding phone ever made.
The device is relatively affordable (when it comes to folding phones, anyway; you’ll have to accept you’re going to be spending a lot of money on a phone like this), and it’s got gorgeous screens and cameras too.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, this is a zippy, whip-smart phone that probably won’t convince the non-folding-phone converts, but that should be more than enough device for everyone else.
39. Sony NW-A306 Portable Audio Player
Separate high-quality audio player with Wi-Fi
Some people prefer to keep their audio devices separate from their smartphones, and if that’s you, then you should consider the Sony NW-A306, which is a lovely little portable audio player.
It’s fully Wi-Fi compatible, so you can still connect it to the internet, and it features LDAC compatibility, meaning you can pair it with newer Sony headphones and enjoy high wireless audio quality.
The battery lasts for up to 36 hours, although that number naturally decreases if you’re using the NW-A306 to stream higher-quality audio, so make sure you keep it topped up if you’re about to embark on a lengthy journey.
You’ll also be able to slot the NW-A306 into a pocket or backpack segment with ease, so it’s perfect for taking with you on holiday or on a walk if you don’t want to be bombarded by notifications.
40. Ekster Parliament Wallet
Stylish wallet with RFID protection
Last but not least, this sleek and stylish wallet is perfect for holding all of your cards and cash, as well as anything else you might want to keep on you.
It comes complete with a built-in aluminium card holder to protect you from thieves, and the card holder can hold up to 12 cards, or a mixture of cards and bills depending on your needs.
The leather is environmentally certified, too, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your environmental impact is being considered when you pick this one up.
Admittedly, this isn’t technically a gadget; it doesn’t have any smart features, unless you count its ability to block RFID signals. However, it’s a nice-looking wallet that pairs perfectly with many of the other gadgets on this list, and it’ll give you that extra peace of mind when you’re out and about.
