After the news about the indefinite delay of release date for the new installment to The Last of Us, The Last of Us 2 has received a new (and close) release date, along with a new trailer to hype ourselves up!
Last month, Naughty Dog, the company behind the new upcoming title for The Last of Us, gave us the sad news that due to the coronavirus situation that has been going around, their hand was forced to indefinite delay the release of The Last of Us 2 due to logistical issues. But you know what they say, “hope always dies last” and sure as heck Naughty Dog came through with a new release date and a gruesome trailer. The new release date for The Last of Us 2 is June 19, 2020, merely just a month away!
So, about the trailer. I was waiting for something like Ellie vs the infected for the most of it, but it seems like Ellie will be challenging and fighting people and rebels for the most part, rather than dealing with the infected for the majority of the journey, and it also seems like this has started taking a emotional turn on Ellie. Joel seems to be a big part of the trailer too, with his voice narrating in the background while Ellie fights and struggles with the dangers of the world she’s living in.
The trailer in talk, is the one below. It’s best to see it for yourself, live it and hype yourself up for the soon-to-be-released The Last of Us 2:
