That’s right, we’re going there. We think that Fortnite is better than PUBG, and there are a number of reasons why. In this article, we point out 5 of the biggest reasons.
We think it’s fair to say that this article is only based on opinion, not facts, so if you have a different opinion, why not share it by leaving a comment after reading through this article?
Without further ado, here’s a look at the 5 reasons why we think Fortnite is better than PUBG.
Fortnite Is Not As Stressful As PUBG
We can’t deny that PUBG does a better job at getting your heart moving, but sometimes that exhilarating, over-the-top experience just isn’t what we’re looking for.
Fortnite is far less stressful than PUBG – it doesn’t matter so much if you die because you can quickly get back into the game. And that’s even if you do die – deaths in Fortnite aren’t as sudden and out of nowhere – you’re always able to prepare yourself and re-engage by placing down walls.
We’d love to see the average heart rate of a Fortnite player compared to a PUBG player during different stages of the game – it’s likely Fortnite players will be a lot calmer.
Fortnite Runs Smoother
Unfortunately, PUBG is a bit of an unoptimized mess at this point for both Xbox One and PC. Not being able to get a smooth, consistent frame rate is very frustrating and at times you can’t even load into the game right away.
The game loading times are far longer, too, and you’ll sometimes deal with server lag, especially during the early stages of the game.
Being stuck on a black screen whilst other players are jumping out is frustrating. Getting your parachute stuck because they’re lagging back and forth is frustrating. Not being able to react to other players because the game stutters and drops in frames is also frustrating.
If PUBG gets better optimization, we may come back to this. But until then, Fortnite wins with its crisp frame rate and smooth server performance.
You Can Get Into The Action Quicker In Fortnite
The waiting time in the player lobby for each game is far smaller in Fortnite. You can also get to the ground far quicker. Also, the map is much smaller, so you’re able to get into combat much quicker.
In PUBG, you have to wait extra time in the pre-game lobby, it takes longer to hit the ground, and you’ll have to do a lot of running and driving to find more players, especially on the Miramar map.
Fortnite Has Crossplay Enabled
Firstly, Fortnite is available on PS4, Xbox One, smartphones, and PC, whilst PUBG is only available on smartphones, PC, and Xbox One.
Secondly, the PUBG version on each platform is slightly different and crossplay isn’t possible.
Fortnite, on the other hand, has differences here. With Fortnite, you can play alongside your friends no matter what platform they are on. The only exception here is a restriction with playing with PS4 whilst on the Xbox One, and vice versa.
Fortnite Looks Prettier
Fortnite is filled with bright colors, fun graphics and all sorts of colorful cosmetic items.
We understand that both games have different graphics styles, but we appreciate the colorful, cartoonish approach with Fortnite – it’s far nicer to look at in comparison to the dulled colors and realistic colors in PUBG.
We also think that the cosmetics in Fortnite are much nicer. We get that PUBG has decided to keep their cosmetic items as realistic as possible, but being able to dress up as a spaceman or a knight is a lot cooler in our books.
